The Graduate Center of the City University of New York is at 365 Fifth Avenue: the former B. Altman & Co. building at the northeast corner of 34th Street and Fifth Avenue, catty-corner from the Empire State Building; the entrance is on Fifth Avenue between 34th and 35th Streets. The Center is about a ten-minute walk from either Grand Central Terminal or Penn Station and less than that from the many nearby subway lines. In general, Bone Seminars are held on Tuesdays beginning at 7:00 PM in a ninth-floor room of the Center, preceded by a social hour including light refreshments starting at 5:45 PM. See individual announcements for exact time and location. Food and drink are also available at the snack bar, 365 Express, on the first floor.
